ROSINANTE (“YILKI”) HORSES
The wild Yılkı horses are a type of Anatolian racehorse, and many of them can be found in the village of Hürmetçi in Kayseri, which is located near Cappadocia. There are approximately 300 wild and semi-wild horses in the village, which offers them a natural environment with plenty of green, wet areas and open space for them to graze and run freely. The horses are typically able to roam freely in the area, except on days with heavy snowfall.
