ERCIYES MOUNTAIN
Mount Erciyes, also known as Great Erciyes, is a mountain located in Kayseri Province. It is one of the highest mountains in the country, with a peak elevation of 3,917 meters, also, having a smaller hill named ‘little Erciyes’ with an altitude of 2,700 meters. Mount Erciyes is an ancient volcano that has been active in various periods and is known for its steep slopes and deep ravines. The mountain is a popular destination for winter sports and mountaineering and is home to some of the best ski slopes in the world. In addition to skiing, Mount Erciyes offers a range of other activities, including downhill biking, horseback riding, and parasailing. It is also a popular destination for tent and caravan camping, and hosts annual competitions and festivals, such as the "Bike Days" race and the "Snowflakes" festival.
