HATIROĞLU MOSQUE

It is known that the mosque was built by Hatıroğlu Eşref Bey, one of the Mongolian Emirs. There are two different opinions that it was built in 1222 and 1271. Although this mosque, known as "Katıroğlu Mosque" among the people, is also referred to as "Toprak Minaret", "Osman Pasha" mosque in some sources, these names are not used today. Its minaret was destroyed in the earthquake in 1835 and the minaret was rebuilt in 1867 during the repair of the mosque. It is understood from the inscription that the mosque was later repaired in 1912 during the reign of Sultan Reşat.

The mosque consists of a square space sanctuary covered with a dome, the narthex with three small domes in the north, and a eaves section divided into three parts by the arches that follow.
